Insurance

Check that you have adequate insurance coverage with your sending organisation.
Basic coverage is usually provided by social security during your stay in another European Union country through the European Health Insurance Card. However, this coverage may not be sufficient in some cases and you may need a complementary private insurance. Check with your sending organisation as they are responsible for ensuring that you have the adequate insurance depending on the legal provisions in the particular country. You should also make sure you are covered with liability insurance for any accidents you're involved in, leading to property damage, whilst on mobility. If you are doing a work placement, check that you are covered by relevant occupational insurance / worker’s compensation insurance, in case an accident occurs while working. If you are not sure, check with both your sending and receiving organisations regarding the insurance policies they have in place.
