I took the train from Switzerland to Trondheim in the beginning of the semester. It was pretty easy to organise with the swiss start-up called "simple train". They organised and searched all the train connections and it was cheaper than the airplane. My university now paid even half of the price because I didn't fly from one place in Europe to another place in Europe.
